RESTORE THE FUN
When we receive a pinball game the first thing we do is to see if its even worthy to be put in our showroom. We generally do not like to sell pinball machines that have heavy playfield wear or severe cosmetic issues. Our customers want a game that looks nice in their home.

Games which have severe cosmetic issues are generally sold on our “as-is fix-it yourself page”.

INSTRUCTION MANUALS
We make sure an instruction manual is included with every pinball sold.

RESTORED VS. “SHOPPED”
Generally speaking, within the home pinball industry, a pinball game that is ready for play is refered as “shopped”. (Some sellers use this term for a simple wipe off of the playfield and nothing else!)

FIRST : PLAYFIELD
The first thing we do to a pinball is strip all of the posts and plastics off the playfield surface. Any broken posts or playfield plastics are repaired or replaced. On games with plastic ramps we will replace the ramps if they are severely cracked. This is common on games such as The Addams Family and Theatre of Magic. All lamps are checked for proper operation and replaced as necessary. At this time the plastics are set aside for cleaning and the playfield is cleaned and polished. At this time we install new rubber rings on the playfield. The game is then reassembled.

SECOND : ELECTRONICS
We have several things we check to insure reliability.
All connectors in the backbox are checked.
We check the CPU and power supply for proper operation.
We make sure all of the sounds function as intended.
All displays are checked and verified.
Weak displays are replaced.

We add peace of mind. Over the years many games have developed problems due to heat and age. We address these issues prior to sale to insure reliability. Many times we replace electronic components that have not failed yet but are old and prone to failure in the future. This is like added insurance and it’s easy to do since we are working on everything else already.

THIRD : MECHANICAL PARTS
The underside of the playfield is checked as well.
All flippers, bumpers and switches are checked for proper operation.
Worn parts are replaced.
The flippers are rebuilt with new plungers, sleeves and links.
Loose components are tightened.
We check all wiring to all of the coils and switches.
Loose connections are repaired and reflowed with solder.
We check and make sure all lamps function as intended.
Bad bulbs and sockets are replaced.

FOURTH : CABINET, COIN DOOR, ETC.
The coin switches and coin acceptors are checked for proper operation.
The tilt switch is adjusted and tested for proper operation.
