My name is John Ross. I started in the pinball hobby when I was 9 years old. I enjoyed playing games like Flash, Firepower and Eight ball Deluxe. In 1985 when I was fifteen I saved enough to buy my first game, a Stern Dracula. I soon sold this and bought more games to repair and sell. I was going to High School during the day and selling games in the evenings and weekends. In 1987 I was employed as a pinball and video game technician at Circus Pizza. This was a dream job! In 1990 I was hired by Dahlco Music to be their Pinball technician. In 1994 I opened Pinball Plus on Como in St.Paul Ave and left Dahlco. Since than I’ve expanded Pinball Plus to a larger location in South St.Paul. I now employ an artist and technician.
I’ve always strived for a high quality product rather than high volume of sales. It is very easy to just wipe a game down and make it look nice to sell it . But its no fun to have people upset if the game continually malfunctions. This is not good for business! In the holidays I have actually turned down business instead of making a sale. I would rather do this than sacrifice quality of a product sold. I have a great reputation and want to keep it that way! We are located in beautiful South St.Paul Minnesota. Our staff has over 45 years of combined experience working with pinball machines and other coin operated equipment. Unlike most pinball retailers our focus is on quality over quantity. Pinball machines take a special touch to insure they work properly before being sold to our clients. Some older classic machines can take over 50 hours of restoration before we are comfortable selling to the home customer happiness and satisfaction are top priority with Pinball Plus.
Pinball Plus sells a wide variety of pinball machines and other rec-room furnishings. We have different levels of restoration from as/is project games to museum restorations. The choice is yours! Our customers can feel free to browse our inventory and we will be happy to answer any questions. We love talking pinball!
